The factory carpet in a 79 might as well be made of sponge for all the resistance it offers to mud, sand, water, and grit. Once that gets ground into the fibres, it never really comes back out. And water trapped under the carpet leads to rust in the floor pan that you only find when it is already a serious problem. Heavy-duty moulded floor mats sit on top of the carpet and catch every drop, every clod, every grain. When they get filthy you pull them out and hose them down. The factory carpet underneath stays bone dry.

DEEP-DISH RUBBER, MOULDED TO THE 79 FLOOR

The mats in this collection are custom moulded to the exact floor shape of the 79 single cab, 79 dual cab, and 78 Troopy. Full coverage from the firewall to under the seats and right up the sides of the transmission tunnel. The raised lip around the perimeter contains spills, water, and debris instead of letting it run off the edges onto the carpet. Material is tough rubber or heavy-duty PVC that does not crack, curl, or harden in the temperature extremes the 79 sees. Anti-slip backing locks the mats in place. No sliding, no bunching, no interference with the pedals.

SETS FOR SINGLE CAB, DUAL CAB, AND TROOPY

Front-only sets cover the single cab. Front and rear sets cover the dual cab and Troopy with second-row coverage. Each mat is shaped for the specific floor layout of the body style it suits. The transmission tunnel and seat rail positions differ between single cab and dual cab, and the Troopy has its own footwell dimensions. VDJ79 (2007 to 2023) and GDJ79 (2024 onward) are both covered.
