78 SERIES FENDER FLARES FOR THE LONG TROOPY BODY

COVER WIDE TYRES ON THE LONGEST 70 SERIES BODY

78 Series Troop Carrier flares (also called troopy flares) exist because Troopys cop more stones along the sides than any other 70 Series. The body keeps running long after the front guards stop, so fit anything wider than the factory rubber and the sides of the Troopy become a perpetual stone-chip canvas. Small craters in the paint that lead to rust along the bottom of the doors and rear panels. Fender flares extend the guard line out to deflect the stones away from the bodywork while covering the wider tyre tread for road registration compliance. A clean Troopy stays clean for years instead of months.

FIBREGLASS FLARES SHAPED FOR THE TROOPY GUARDS

Each flare in this range is moulded from fibreglass with a paintable gel coat or textured black finish. Fibreglass holds its shape in extreme heat, resists UV degradation that cracks cheaper materials, and can be repaired in the field if you scrape it on a track. Each flare follows the exact contour of the Troopy front guards and rear quarter panels for a flush fit with no gaps or misalignment. Most sets use existing factory mounting holes or supplied marker hardware. No drilling into the bodywork required, and the flares come off cleanly if you ever want to return to stock.

FRONT AND REAR FLARE SETS FOR THE LANDCRUISER TROOPY — HZJ78, VDJ78, AND GDJ78

Front and rear flare sets are available individually or as full vehicle kits. The Troopy front guard profile is shared with the 76 Wagon and 79 Series, so front flares often suit multiple body styles. Rear flares are Troopy-specific because the long rear panel shape is unique. HZJ78 (1999 to 2007), VDJ78 V8 (2007 to 2023), and GDJ78 facelift (2024 onward) all have specific options matched to the guard shape of the era. Each listing confirms exact year and body style fitment.
