75 SERIES ROOF RACKS AND LOAD BARS
STILL WORKING, STILL WORTH BUILDING
The 75 Series is thirty years past the showroom and a great many of them are still earning a living on stations, farms and remote tracks. A 75 Series roof rack suits that reality. The rain channel is deep, the roof is flat, and the mounting arrangement Toyota designed around in the 1980s is still the strongest attachment point on the vehicle. Whether the truck is a working single cab ute or a Troop Carrier being brought back for touring, the roof is usable space that most 75s are not using.
GUTTER MOUNT BARS FOR THE HJ75 AND HZJ75
Our current 75 Series range is built around gutter mount load bars rather than full platforms, and on a vehicle of this age that is usually the right call. Bars are lighter, they put less standing load on original roof structure that has already absorbed decades of corrugations, and they carry the things a 75 actually gets asked to carry. Ladders, lengths of pipe, a roof top tent, swags and fuel. The bars clamp into the rain channel with no drilling and can be moved along the roof to suit the load.
UTE AND TROOP CARRIER BODIES
The 75 was sold as both a ute and a Troopy, and roof length is the difference between them. A ute takes a short pair of bars over the cab. A Troopy has room for a much longer run. Fitment on this platform is worth a conversation if you are unsure, because thirty years of tray swaps, canopies and repairs mean no two 75s are quite identical.
