FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Absolutely. One customer measured a 15dB reduction on average, while others describe being able to use hands-free calls at highway speed without shouting. The difference is most apparent at higher speeds where wind noise from the factory seals is worst.
It's a quick DIY job. Most of our customers report 15 to 30 minutes for all doors. The seals press into the existing channels without adhesive or tools. A tip from our customers: sit the seals in the sun for a few minutes beforehand to soften the rubber, which makes them easier to work with.
Our customers have confirmed fitment across the 70 Series range including 75, 76, 78, and 79 models. One SWB owner noted there was enough seal material to do the rear doors as well. The kit is broadly compatible across the 70 platform.
This is one of the simplest mods you can do. There's no wiring, no drilling, no tools. You're just pressing rubber seals into existing door channels. If you can close a zip-lock bag, you can fit these seals.
Yes, completely normal and actually a sign the seals are working. The improved seal creates a tighter fit when the door closes, which is exactly what reduces the noise. It gives the doors a more solid, premium feel.
