Mounting uses sun visor brackets and supplied extension brackets without drilling into the outer roof skin. UHF cable routing through the headlining is straightforward.

Roof console fitment is matched to the specific Troopy roof and sun visor configuration. The VDJ78 (2007 to 09/2023) and GDJ78 (09/2023 onwards) options are kept separate because the visor mounting points changed slightly at the facelift.
