CLEAN AIR FOR A WAGON THAT GETS WORKED HARD

DUST DOES NOT BELONG IN THE INTAKE PATH

A factory 76 sucks its air from low behind the grille. Exactly where the dust cloud thrown up by every other vehicle on a dirt road settles. The result is a choked air filter long before its scheduled service interval, and engine performance that drops as the filter loads up. A snorkel relocates the intake to roof height, in clean air above the dust line, and gives the engine room to breathe properly. On water crossings, the snorkel keeps the intake well above water height. The difference between getting through and a very expensive insurance claim.

POLYETHYLENE BODY, FACTORY-LOOK MOUNTING

The Safari ARMAX and V-Spec snorkels in this collection are built from UV-stabilised polyethylene. Durable, shape-stable in extreme heat, and forgiving when stones or branches strike it on a track. The body shape is engineered for proper airflow rates matched to the 76 Wagon's specific engine. 1HZ, 1VD V8, or 1GD 2.8L. Mounting uses existing guard holes with minimal trimming using the supplied template, and the airbox connection seals with a purpose-made adaptor for an airtight intake.

HZJ76, VDJ76, AND GDJ76 ENGINES COVERED

Each snorkel is matched to a specific engine because the required intake bore size and airbox connection differs. The 1HZ in older HZJ76 wagons needs a different snorkel to the 1VD V8 in VDJ76, which differs again from the 1GD 2.8L in the new GDJ76. Each listing confirms exact engine code and year fitment. Pre-cleaners and air rams are available as add-ons to further filter the air before it enters the snorkel body, particularly valuable on long outback trips.
